**Elective: Softened apples into the batter. Not mandatory, however unimaginable. For this, you have to 1 peeled and diced apple, 1 tablespoon brown sugar & 1 teaspoon floor cinnamon.

*This recipe was tailored after reader suggestions on 10/12/22– a couple of readers had muffins that have been too dense. The up to date recipe reduces the applesauce quantity and provides in oil as an alternative of pumpkin and replaces among the flour with oats. That stated, if you need an oil-free muffin, substitute in 1/3 cup pumpkin puree for the oil and it’ll work!
***The unique measurements have been: 1 cup flour, 1/3 cup complete wheat flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 3/4 teaspoon every baking soda and baking powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 1/3 cup applesauce, 1/3 cup milk, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, and 1/4 cup every brown sugar and cane sugar. Mix moist and dry in separate bowls, then mix collectively. Divide into muffin tins and bake for 18-20 minutes.
